Biography Dr Heiner Frei
Heiner Frei lives in Laupen near Bern in Switzerland, is a paediatrician, married and father of four grown-up children. He was born in 1950 in Brugg. Primary and high school in in Brugg, Aarau and Los Angeles, medical studies at the University of Berne, qualifying as medical doctor in 1977. This was followed by a specialisation in paediatrics at the university clinics in Berne and Lucerne focusing on paediatric surgery, neonatology, oncology, intensive care and developmental medicine. From 1984 senior doctor in paediatric haematology and oncology.
1987 Heiner Frei opened his practice in Laupen and commenced homeopathy training. After several years of experience he began to teach homeopathy and conduct clinical studies with publications on acute tonsillitis, otitis media, ADD/ADHD, H1N1 influenza, multimorbid patients and homeopathic methodology. From 2001 to 2005 Heiner Frei has been leading the ADHD double-blind study at the University of Berne, resulting in scientific confirmation of a specific effect of homeopathic remedies. This work has been awarded with several research prizes. The ADHD-study also triggered the development of polarity analysis, which was the real reason for its success. After publication in 2005 his teaching activity expanded to Europe, India and the USA, and publications of several books on polarity analysis in German and English followed.
Currently Heiner Frei runs a paediatric teaching practice in Laupen together with Janika Gaschen, where young doctors are trained in integrative paediatrics. – By listing all these activities, let us not forget his main occupation, namely the treatment of many patients. This is really what continues to inspire and motivate him and his team over all these years.
